Call for Papers
Association for the Study of Eastern Christian History and Culture (ASEC), Eighth Biennial Conference
February 22-23, 2019, Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ)

The Association for the Study of Eastern Christian History and Culture, Inc. (ASEC) announces its eighth biennial conference to be held at the Tempe campus of Arizona State University February 22-23, 2019 (with a pre-conference reception on February 21). Using the millennial anniversary of the enthronement of the Eastern Christian ruler Prince Iaroslav the Wise (r. 1019-1054) as an opportunity for reflection, the conference invites papers that explore any topic, period, or region related to Eastern Christian history and culture. Scholars from all disciplines are invited to participate.

Send paper and panel proposals with abstracts of 100-200 words for each paper, and a brief one-page curriculum vitae for each participant to Heather Bailey (hbail2 at uis.edu<mailto:hbail2 at uis.edu>). Proposals must be received by November 30, 2018.

Limited funding is available to provide graduate students with assistance for travel expenses.??
