Our newsletter editor Alice Isabella Sullivan ("Visions of Byzantium: The Siege of Constantinople in Sixteenth-Century Moldavia," The Art Bulletin 99 [2017]: 31-68) has won the prestigious Van Courtlandt Elliott Prize of the Medieval Academy of America!

She also has an article in the latest edition of Speculum (January 2019): "The Athonite Patronage of Stephen III of Moldavia, 1457-1504."
