My suggestion -- change this to a virtual meeting some other time outside of ASEEES, so that all can attend the simultaneous Kenworthy Book session.

I BTW have another, secular panel at hat time where I am discussant.

cheers

Dear Fellow ASEC Members!

We will meet virtually for our annual business meeting on Thursday December 2 at 4 PM CST in VR 7 in the Virtual ASEEES Convention. To log onto the convention site, please see the detailed instructions here: https://www.aseees.org/news-events/aseees-news-feed/information-virtual-convention-participants.

The minutes from our last meeting are available on the ASEC website: https://easternchristianity.org/organization/minutes/. Please take a look at them and see whether there are any corrections or additions that should be made.

This meeting is particularly important because we will hold elections for our new slate of officers. Nadieszda Kizenko will take the gavel to begin her three-year term as president. Alice Sullivan has kindly agreed to continue serving as newsletter editor, an appointed position. In addition, the board has made the following nominations:

VP/President-Elect: Heather Bailey, Professor of History, University of Illinois, Springfield
Treasurer: Roy Robson, Professor of History, Pennsylvania State University, Abington

We are still in need of a secretary, so if anyone would like to make a nomination (including a self-nomination), please don’t hesitate to let us know. Nominations are accepted from the floor for all elected positions.

We will also take time to remember our dear friend and longtime member Bill Wagner, who passed away earlier this year.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me or one of the other officers. It has been a great privilege to serve as president of ASEC, and I’m very grateful to have had your support for the past three years. See you on Thursday!
