The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies will hold its annual convention in Washington, DC, 17-20 November 2016. The theme of the convention is “Global Conversations” (http://www.aseees.org/convention/2016-theme).  We would like to facilitate the organization of panels that are relevant to the study of eastern Christian history and culture. Please feel free to send your ideas and requests to the ASEC list (currently housed at ASEC@eugeneclay.com).  Please review the rules for participation (http://www.aseees.org/convention/rules) and note that panel proposals are due on 15 February 2016.  In particular, a conference participant may appear on the program in no more than two sessions (panels or roundtables) and may present only one paper during the convention.  We hope to have many stimulating panels in November.
